Grown at Tregothnan since it was first introduced from New Zealand in the 1800s, bees feed on this pretty bush to make Manuka honey. Manuka bushes are celebrated for their antibacterial properties used both internally and externally, and are even used by nurses to dress wounds.

To brew a cup of Manuka, use freshly boiled water which has been left to cool and infuse for 4 minutes. Sweeten with honey to taste.
