DESCRIPTION
Mishka Linden (European Lime Tree) Siberian Honey is distinctive single flower honey, pale in colour and deliciously sweet, making it very popular with children. Beyond that first sweetness there are also refreshing, slightly lemony notes.
At the height of summer this lovely tree is heavy with fragrant, nectar-laden blossom and the contented buzz of bees from hives carefully placed nearby. At harvest time the honey is collected (still leaving plenty for the bees) and carefully coarse filtered to remove hive debris. Nothing else is taken away.

MOUNTAINS & MEADOWS
Mishka Honey is a British honey company founded in 2021 to bring the remarkable Siberian honeys of the Altai region to Britain. Mishka means little bear in Russian, and they are a common sight in this sparsely populated rural region of Siberia, where the residents live in harmony with these brown bears, wolves and snow leopards.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been met with international sanctions and boycotts of Russian products. I support these, however this has not changed my decision to work with and sell Siberian Mishka Honey, and as part of my commitment to total transparency I will explain why.
Mishka Honey is a fledging independent British company that supports and works with rural communities in the Siberian Altai region, a region hundreds of miles away from the 'Moscow elites’ who are the stated target of such actions. Importantly the honey that we are selling arrived in the UK well before current events and the only effect of us not selling this would be to hurt a local British business or for the honey to go to waste. In my view neither scenario is satisfactory. Our focus has always been to work with and support small independent businesses and we will continue to do so where I feel that we can make a positive contribution to them and the communities that they serve.
I will review this again in detail, and at the time any future Mishka Altai Honey arrives into the UK. In the mean time these honeys are truly remarkable, representative of our 'best tasting provenance assured foods' promise and I would encourage any honey lover to try them whilst they can.
