Guild of Fine Foods Judges Comments:
"A beautiful, bright, slightly opaque golden honey with the most glorious aroma of fruits and summertime. The texture is luxuriously thick and silky, just coats your mouth and throat and you just feel it's doing you good! Summer meadows, hints of fresh mint leaves - just a wonderful balance of sweetness and subtlety. The flavours dance around on the tongue and leave a long warm finish without being cloying. This is an exciting honey that you won't forget."
"A very appealing appearance, with good viscosity. A beautiful inviting golden colour with a slight haze. The aroma was an intriguing mix of fruit and flora. This honey offered striking flavour notes, with a great depth of complexity and a very long lasting clean finish. A good balance of acidity and sweetness."
"This classic looking honey has an interesting mix of aromas including cut wood, pine and orange blossom,. The flavour mirrors the aroma with lots of bright sweet orange notes blending and balancing with some other more lively acidic pine notes, a touch of caramel, elderflower and a touch of bitterness which just helps stops this honey from becoming overly sweet and cloying. The texture has an interesting, thick, sticky feel that delightfully clings to the sides and roof of the mouth. With an interesting complex balanced mix of flavours and a long finish this is a truly special honey."
